Since 2009, the Pedestrian Press has been bringing you quality contemporary art and literature from the Bay Area and around the world. "Live Pedestrians!" showcases some of the best of the remarkable pool of talented authors that we have been honored to feature in our journals "Oakland Review" and "the Bicycle Review".

Curator: J de Salvo

Picture
J de Salvo's stories, poems, and articles have been published extensively in print and online. He is the author of multiple books of short fiction and poetry. He lives in Oakland, CA, from where he edits and publishes the Pedestrian Press, Oakland Review, and the Bicycle Review.

Jezebel Delilah X

Jezebel Delilah X is a queer, lush-bodied, Black, femme performance artist, writer, actress, filmmaker, educator, facilitator, orator and Faerie Princess Mermaid Gangsta for The Revolution. She is a Co-Managing Editor for Everyday Feminism; co-host of the queer/feminist Open Mic, Culture Fuck; and Creative Director of queer, Black, multi-disciplinary performance troupe, Congregation of Liberation. She loves love, art, romance, vulnerability, and sex.

Kwan Booth

Rick Lupert

Poetry Super Highway creator Rick Lupert hosted the Cobalt Cafe reading for 20 years. He’s written 19 poetry books and edited the anthologies “Ekphrastia Gone Wild” and “A Poet’s Haggadah”.

Shirley Acuna

Shirley Acuna is a dreamer, dancer, early morning riser and late night snacker. Her words sprout from post heart break and like her, are often in some sort of transit. She writes to remember, savor and transform.

William Taylor Jr.
