Youth Radio Creative Reflections
and Commentaries

Leg One| 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM | Youth Radio

Picture

Event Description

As part of this annual East Bay Literary Festival, Youth Radio will showcase the written works of many talented youth artists and journalists at the organization's art venue, located next door to the main building. Young writers and performers will share their experiences through performance, poetry, and reading aloud their written works.

Curator:  Youth Radio Arts Center

Youth Radio is an award-winning production company that trains diverse young people in digital media and technology. Collaborating with industry professionals, students learn to produce content and tools that bring youth perspectives to topics of public concern, reaching audiences in the tens of millions through National Public Radio and other partner outlets.

Youth Radio's Remix Your Life Program

Remix Your Life is a Youth Radio artist collective--a space for young people to develop their artistic voices while creatively processing their lives. They have the opportunity to record at our high-quality professional studio, and perform at “Bites & Beats,” a monthly performance showcase hosted every First Friday at Youth Radio’s 1719 Arts Venue.
